W: My neighbor’s mother was ill. She had to take her to hospital. So I took care of her baby.

  M: Advertising reaches people through changeable forms of mass communication. These media include newspapers, magazines, televisions, radios and outdoor signs. Advertisers buy space in newspaper and magazine to publish their ads. They buy time on television and radio to broadcast their commercials.

One of the several advantages is that most adults read a daily newspaper, and many of them specifically check the ads for information about products, services, or special sales.

A main advantage of television to advertisers is that it brings sight, sound, and action directly to consumers in their home. And one advantage of advertising on radio is that people can listen to programs while doing other things, such as driving a car or working at home.

Magazines are usually read in a leisurely manner and are often kept for weeks or months before being discarded. While large, colorful outdoor signs, which people pass by repeatedly, easily attract attentions.

Other ways of advertising include the use of transportation, window displays, point-of-sale, telephone directories, and novelties.
